My client, a large Property Management firm, is currently seeking a qualified Maintenance Worker/Building Technician for a building in their Edmonton portfolio. This position reports to the Property Manager and the successful candidate will be responsible for the effective operations and maintenance of the exterior and interior of the commercial buildings in the portfolio. The position will be overseeing contractors and will be responsible for performing scheduled and general preventive maintenance including tenant work orders on the mechanical/electrical/HVAC systems, life safety equipment, and specialized site equipment, operation of the Building Automation System, Central Heating/Cooling Plant and all their integral components. Share on-call responsibilities. Direct sub contracted trades when required. A minimum of 5 years directly related experience. Systems troubleshooting. Strong and proven mechanical aptitude in HVAC, heating and central cooling plants. Ability to make safe and effective technical decisions in all emergency situations. Excellent verbal, written and communicational skills. Highly motivated with a strong customer service focus. Ability to work independently and within a team environment while maintaining a high regard for sensitivity and customer needs. This position pays $20 - $23 hour Depending on Experience + excellent benefits and room for growth.
